LED down lights come in standard base types such as 220V GU10 (mushroom) or 12V MR16 (pins). The more unusual down lights are made with 220V E27 (Edison screws) or even 220V E14 screw type to replace some of your CFL applications. At this point in time there is much to do with replacing existing halogen technology. On average a halogen can consume as much as 10 times that of an equivalent LED. For instance, a 5-7W LED can replace up to a 50W halogen and still provide the same or even better light output. Halogens are generally used for ambience and background applications and therefore do not need a bright LED to replace it.
Application: Use in homes, restaurants, fast food chains, hotels, lodges, boardrooms, meeting rooms, reception areas. Suitable for ambience and background lighting.
